A Gift for Waiting Children
Updated: Aug 25, 2019
At the end of this year, we bring our daughter home from China. As we have gone through the International Adoption process, we are reminded of all of the children who are waiting for forever homes. These children, many with special needs, live in orphanages who rely heavily on donations to cover operations costs, medical treatments, and even essential items such as furniture, beds and toys for children.
Years ago, an orphanage donation was required as part of the China international adoption process. Unfortunately, China changed the policy so that the donation was no longer mandatory, but optional to adopting families. As a result, many families have opted NOT to give this donation, or perhaps could not financially afford to provide this gift above and beyond the standard adoption fees.
For us, we have been committed to bring a gift of $6,000 that will go directly to Mia's orphanage. We know that these funds will go directly towards supporting all of the children who live under their roof, and we want to provide for the most basic needs of the children as best as we can through this gift.
OUR GOAL IS $6,000
We are asking for support from friends, family and coworkers to make this gift possible - and we can't do it alone!
Would you consider making a donation today?
Gifts of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or even $1000 or more provide critically needed support to waiting children. No gift is insignificant when it comes to helping a child receive the care they need. 100% of your donation is tax deductible.
