Letter of Acceptance Received! :)

Updated: Jul 28, 2019

The adoption community is filled with an exhaustive list of requirements, paperwork and processes- many of these condensed into mere acronyms known only by those within the adoption community. Should you feel so inclined, you may look them up here , but for today's purpose we would like to share with you the one that matters the most!

LOA = Letter of Acceptance

The Letter of Acceptance means that our Dossier has been translated, reviewed and approved and we are OFFICIALLY matched with our daughter Mia.

Just 3 weeks ago we submitted our LOI (Letter of Intent), which is a letter we send to China asking to adopt our child. This letter is reviewed by our agency, translated into Mandarin, and sent back to us in the form of an LOA.

Today (July 22, 2019) is one of our biggest days as a couple. This is the day where we officially share the news that we are the proud parents of our daughter Mia. Although we have never met her, this is the day we can proclaim that she is our daughter, and share the news that we are preparing to bring her home.

This is a BIG day for us- and we couldn't be more excited!

Continue to follow us on for updates on our adoption journey.
